The buildings we work in
We work in shops, small apartment buildings and commercial spaces under renovation. These buildings have one thing in common: more people share the same plumbing, so any interruption has an immediate impact.
The work is similar to residential plumbing, on a larger scale and often with more constraints: clogged public washrooms, a water heater that no longer meets demand, piping to redo during a fit-out, drains backing up in a building's basement.
Planning work to limit closures
A business cannot always close for a full day for plumbing work, so we plan the job with you in advance: shutting off water to one floor only, doing part of the work before opening, or scheduling most of a renovation for the off-season. A suitable arrangement is often possible.
The same planning applies to tenants in apartment buildings. We recommend that the owner notify them of any water shut-off in advance.
Preventive maintenance
An emergency in a commercial building is often preceded by warning signs. A periodic inspection of the building helps identify them: the water heater, shut-off valves, floor drains and areas exposed to freezing in winter.
If a main drain keeps backing up, a camera inspection shows what's going on inside the line. Roots, a break or a sag: once the problem is located, we determine whether the line needs cleaning, a section repair or excavation. For excavation, we have our own excavator (see excavation).
From parts in stock to work on site
Our store in Chénéville carries an inventory of plumbing parts. For a property manager, this means a simple repair can often be completed with parts available in store.
We hold RBQ licence 1842-2873-08 and are CMMTQ members. To have a building assessed or to plan a fit-out, contact us through the contact page. For active water damage, see our 24/7 emergency plumbing page.
